In 2020, the Philippines-based brand San Miguel continued to be the world’s best selling gin brand. They sold 31.2 million cases.
Despite the pandemic of 2020-21, they posted strong growth, up 8% from 2019.
#2 Gordon’s
Gordon’s remains one of the world’s most popular gin brands; however, 2020 was a year of particular note. Whereas many major brands saw sales decline during the pandemic 0f ’20-’21; Gordon’s sales remained stable. The Spirits Business recognized Gordon’s as their Gin Brand Champion on the strength of their performance.
#3 Bombay Sapphire
Bombay’s flagship brand continued to be a strong seller, moving in excess of 4 million cases in 2020.
#4 Tanqueray
Tanqueray London Dry Gin continues to be one of the world’s most popular gin brands, again selling in excess of 4 million cases in 2020.
#5 Beefeater
Perhaps slightly weakened by their stateside change to 44% ABV, Beefeater saw sales decline fairly dramatically from 2019-2020; however, they retain their top five status on the strength of 2.7 million cases sold annually.

In alphabetical order, major brands like Hednrick’s, Lario’s and Seagram’s (the top selling gin brand in the U.S.) rank just outside the top five.
