Color: Carnation and transparent
Aroma: Sweet raspberry, confectionary and sweet. Reminiscent of raspberry preserves with a slight powdery note.
Flavor: Lemon, citrus, with some tart berry notes. Boysenberry, with a hint of strawberry candy. Quick quinine onset with moderate bitterness.
Aside from the citrus note, the gin is quiet. Towards the end, a slight hint of juniper and coriander pokes through, but it is still dominated by the pink gin and berry notes.
Moderately sweet, it’s balanced. It never comes across as cloying. It’s less sweet than some gin and tonics you might make at home with supermarket or mainstream Indian Tonic Waters.
Finish: Crisp and moderately dry with a restrained quinine bitterness, with notes of cranberry, coriander and faint spice.
Overall, Gordon’s Pink Gin & Tonic
If you’re not a fan of pink gin, this won’t convert you. But overall, this is one of the best RTD pink gin cocktails I’ve had. It’s balanced, highlights the fruit notes and adds a good hint of bitterness. I wish there was more gin character in here, but it’s not bad judged for what it is in the can.
Recommended for fans of Pink Gin.
