Tasting Notes
The aroma is quiet and fairly neutral.
When sipped, small bubbles burst on the tip of the tongue. They quickly dissipate however, and are largely concentrated on the initial entry on the palate.
American Liquor Company Gin and Tonic is not overly sweet at all. Very pleasant and clean, the gin flavor really comes through— not just sweetness. But like I said, the gin flavor really comes through. You can clearly pick out notes in it. A green, somewhat waxy juniper leads the way, but there’s a subtle hint of coriander and supportive spice.
The bitterness comes in towards the end. It’s on the low-to-moderate end of quinine. Clean finish with a slight astringency (citric acid likely).
Overall, it’s nicely balanced with the gin, the bitter and the sweet all present. However, what I find to be quite rare is how present the gin flavor is. For only 8% ABV, it’s remarkably gin-forward without being overly strong (alcohol-wise).
Overall, American Liquor Company Gin and Tonic
American Liquor Company’s Gin and Tonic is a delightful, refreshing, and balanced gin and tonic.
