Fall is in full swing, but things are quiet over at the Gin is In. You can’t do a review when you can’t taste, so this cold is keeping a couple of almost finished reviews on the back burner. Until I can finish those up, let’s see what everyone else has been talking about in the World of Gin….
Bulldog Gin’s launching a new variant called Bold. Purported to have a fuller flavor, among the added botanicals is “White Poppy.” Launched in limited quantities in New York and London.
Downtown Atlanta may be getting its first distillery since prohibition. Old Fourth Distillery plans vodka, and of course a gin for launch. But they may need a Kickstarter campaign to close the funding gap.
French Drinks group Marie Brizard has dug into the 1960’s for its October revival of Old Lady’s Dry Gin.
Who Else is talking about Gin?
You should start drinking flavored gin! Or at least this Business Insider article proclaims. The notion of “flavored” spirits has undoubtedly been given a bad name due to the proliferation of some of the more outrageous successes and equally outrageous and somewhat egregious failures.
