I’d say more distillers are willing to be highly transparent about their botanical bill than their grain bill. The team at One Eight Distilling doesn’t publicly disclose much of their botanicals, but they will be even more specific than you might expect about their grains. This is interesting, as one of the major contentions of the Craft Spirits movement is that “grain to glass” is the only thing which should qualify as craft*.

Yaletown Distilling Company may be located in Vancouver, Canada, but they still got in on the #RepealDay celebrations by launching their vodka and gin on December 5th.
Liverpool Gin officially launches at Blackburne house next Thursday, December 12th. The Brewery turned distillery’s gin is one of only a small handful of completely certified organic gins.
Jonathan Engels’ Crossbill Gin will be out in limited edition right before Christmas. Crossbill gin has been held back because the distiller couldn’t make it until he secured a large enough quantity of Scotland grown juniper. Every botanical is Scotland born and bred.
Keep an eye out for for Ivy City Gin from One Eight Distilling, planning on opening the doors in Spring 2014 in Washington D.C. Although there is no gin in the bottle, I have to say: this bottle design might rank among my all time favorites if this is the one that makes it to market:
