Death and Co.

Death and Co. is of a different breed of prohibition era revival bars. The outside is well labeled, and they do not accept reservations. First come, first serve, and definitely not a good place for large groups.

What I think sets Death and Co. apart is its food. The cocktails are stunning, but the small plates menu of food means that this is more than just a part of the evening. Getting In: If you and a few friends are committed to a lingering evening of delicious cocktails and food on a weekend, I don’t think you should be shy about showing up right at 6pm. Weeknights are your best bet for getting in right away; however, their no reservation policy ensures turnover and equal opportunity for getting a table.

What’s Good: We had a five course tasting of bitters, and I highly recommend trying some while you’re here as they have one of the best collections in the city that I’ve seen.
