I know I’ve been a little behind on these lately, so I wanted to make sure I caught you up on what’s been happening in gin as of late:
Plenty of gins have a base distilled from grapes, but Chillgrove is the first gin in the UK to pick up on this technique.
Citadelle Aged Gin, Solera Reserve, now out stateside.
Ely Gin is out in the UK as well.
Launched as a “travel exclusive” (what?!), Bombay Amber, a barrel rested version of the extraordinarily popular Bombay Sapphire is now available at the Singapore international airport, with Sydney, Las Vegas and Toronto on the way [and I assume London is implied?].
Gold River Distillery in Sacramento is ramping up for their launch of Wheelhouse Gin in the next couple months: soon to be in bars and stores.
This one hits close to home: literally. Chris Murillo plans on locating a distillery in Western Queens; Queens Courage, an Old Tom style gin is already in the works. [Aaron’s note: yes, I live in Western Queens, so I am really excited about this one. I would have been excited for any distillery, but one that is starting with an Old Tom?
